Unit 6 focuses on solutions.

Take some time to think about a situation in which somebody you know was going through a rough time or was having trouble deciding something, finding a solution to a problem, etc. Describe the situation and the advice you gave to that person. If possible, try to use clauses of purpose (e.g. In order for her to feel better, I told her she should…, Because I think it is important to understand why we do what we do so as not to repeat…, etc.). You can also try to incorporate the vocabulary from p. 68 (Exercise 7). 

Please choose one and prepare good answers (think of arguments to support your answers).

You may also want to think and pepare some questions and answers to problems like poverty , and other social and racial problems and bias like these: Do you think in vitro fertilization should be available to parents so they can choose the sex of their child?

What do you think when you see a homeless person?

What types of noise pollution do you hate the most?

Who takes care of the elderly when they are no longer able to care for themselves?

Have you ever experienced discrimination on a personal level? Etc.
